Jake S. Kim, Esq.

I am a family law attorney licensed in New Jersey (2015) and New York (2016).

I previously served as a prosecutor in the State of New York, where I handled and prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases. Through that experience, I developed a strong sense of courtroom strategy and a deep understanding of how to identify the core issues in complex matters.

Across both my time as a prosecutor and in private practice, I have personally conducted over 100 bench trials and hearings, as well as eight (8) jury trials—including a Class A felony jury trial in which I served as defense counsel. Since transitioning to family law, I have dedicated my practice to divorce, custody, and equitable-distribution cases in New York and New Jersey, handling matters that often require both legal precision.

Drawing on my courtroom experience, multicultural communication skills, and a practical approach to resolving complex legal issues, I have successfully guided clients through a wide range of family law disputes. While all written work begins with an internal standardized drafting system, every filing and submission is personally reviewed and finalized by me to ensure accuracy and quality.

Through years of practice, I have focused on developing accessible and practical legal support systems for individuals facing language barriers, financial constraints, or administrative challenges.

My goal is to provide client-centered legal services that are functional, thoughtful, and effective.
